COMMUNITY RELATIONS INTERNSHIP

The Elmira Pioneers, members of the New York Collegiate Baseball League, are currently looking for an off-season community relations intern who can increase the team’s presence throughout the Twin Tiers.

Responsibilties:
- Develop and maintain relationships within the community
- Respond to all community requests, including donations and events
- Coordinate mascot and player appearances
- Develop database of all donation requests and community events
- Represent and promote team within the community

BROADCASTING/MEDIA RELATIONS INTERNSHIP

The Pioneers are looking for a radio broadcaster for the team’s 21 New York Collegiate League home games. Games are broadcasted over Teamline and are heard by hundreds of fans each game.

The team is also looking for a media relations intern, in charge of assembling game notes, updating the web site, writing postgame recaps, and communicating with area media outlets. The media relations intern may or may not also be the broadcasting intern.

FRONT OFFICE INTERNSHIP

The Elmira Pioneers are currently looking for interns for the summer (May – July) in the following areas. Interns will learn about a variety of tasks, and will be rotated through the following areas:

• Group Ticket Sales
• Corporate Sales
• Ticket Sales & Operations
• Promotions
• Merchandise
• Special Events
• Game Day Promotions
• Customer & Community Relations
• Food & Beverage

Commitment: Spring and / or Summer Semester
Positions are open to start immediately.

Each unpaid position is designed to provide interested and qualified candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fun and hard working professional baseball environment, as well as an opportunity to gain entry-level sales experience. The hours and hard work that the interns put in will provide them with experience that makes for an easy transition into the working world of professional sports. College credit is available for all internships if applicable. Candidates must be from the area or have housing available to them throughout the summer.
