Archie McNelis - Coach
Archie McNelis will join the Elmira Pioneers as the bench coach and 1st base coach this season. He is a graduate of Hornell High School and the University of Rochester. McNelis served as the Varsity Baseball Coach at Thomas A. Edison High School for 15 years, and during that time his teams won 12 Interscholastic Athletic Conference division titles, 2 league titles, and 1 Section IV Class D championship. While at Edison High his teams achieved an overall .780 winning percentage and his 1995 team, which included Matt Burch, advanced to the New York State Class D Final Four. Archie is currently the Head Football Coach at TAE where he will be entering his 20th season in 2006.
