ELMIRA PIONEERS BASEBALL INTERNSHIPS & VOLUNTEERS

  During the season interns become intimately involved in all aspects of the business including; on field activities, broadcasting, media relations, ticket and promotional sales, community relations, facility management and office management.

       The Pioneers also look for volunteers for the following; ushers, ticket takers and security.

We also offer three “specialty internships”: front office, media internship and a broadcasting internship.

Front Office Internships:

Each intern will rotate in various facets of the “minor league operation”.  Spending time in group ticket sales, promotions, special events, corporate advertising sales and community relations where each intern will develop and manage at least one community/promotional event.

Media Internships:

This intern will be responsible for developing the Pioneers media brochure, writing daily press releases, managing the team’s electronic newsletter, creating “social media” marketing programs and coordinating all other media related activities.

Broadcasting Internship:

The Pioneers are looking for a radio broadcaster for the team’s PGCBL games.  Games are broadcast over Teamline Internet Radio.

Commitment: approximately May 21, 2012 - August 14, 2012

Each position is designed to provide interested and qualified candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fun, but demanding, working professional baseball environment.
