Chad Simendinger has been rewarded by the NYCBL for his efforts last week against the Webster Yankees. Simendinger threw a complete nine innings allowing two runs on four hits while striking out four Webster hitters.
In the effort Simendinger picked up his third win of the season and now sits at 3-1 on the year. The complete game victory is the second of the year for Simendinger as he was able to hold the Geneva Red Wings off the scoreboard in a July 4th game at Dunn Field.
Simendinger also ranks in the top among Pioneers pitching this year as he is currently fourth on the team in ERA at 1.98. Chad also leads the Pioneers in innings pitched (51), complete games (2), starts (7), and strikeouts (41).
As the Pioneers regular season continues to wind down the Pioneers will be away from Dunn Field for two days before returning home to take on the Allegany County Nitros on Thirsty Thursday, July 22nd at 7:05 P.M. with all beverages just $1 throughout the game.
